I am not a gay pastor - Rev. Frimpong Manso

The Former Moderator of the Conference of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev. Dr Frimpong Manso has denied rumors that he is practicing homosexuality.

Very Rev. Manso resigned from the church last year.

The decision to resign follows a resolution by the leadership of the Presby Church Ghana to sever their relationship with pro-homosexual Presbyterian Church, United States of America over their decision to ordain gay priests.

Rev. Dr Manso who is on assignment to the church in USA had been recalled and asked to report back to Ghana by December 31 2015 as a result of the fallout.

But Rev. Dr Manso who heads a church with gays and lesbians dominance in the United State of America said he is still married to his wife adding that nothing will compel him to change his sexual orientation as a Minister of the Gospel and his church, Presbyterian Church of the USA.

Speaking to the media at a press conference in Accra, the Former Moderator said his church in the USA is protected by law where it is mandated to bless only marriages between men and women and not otherwise.

Dr Frimpong Manso charged members of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana to question the leadership of the church to explain the rationale behind his dismissal from the church and all the falsehood that has been leveled against.

Meanwhile, the former moderator said he still considers himself as a member of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana and therefore has every right to enter into any of the auditorium of the church without any restriction.
